Prioritize your Stars..Don’t backburner them!!
Who are the Rock Stars on YOUR stage? Who are the background singers? Who gets Priority when it comes to your undivided unsmart-phoned attention??
Some people feel that if you’re on the phone while in line at the store…that it’s rude to the person working at the register….
Some people feel that it’s ONLY rude if you’re holding up the line behind you….and even more offensive if they are waiting for you to end your call, and they are behind you in that line.
Coming from a customer service background….I’ll bet some of the register operators are happy to be ignored…and to not have to welcome or greet you in big canned script <> fashion. We all know we should endeavor to be kind to everyone, because you never know what kind of day, or life, they are having.
We know you are a multitasker. We know you can do 12 things at once. But what about your personal rock stars in your life…are we treating and prioritizing as the stars of your DEDICATED focus? Or are they getting backburnered too??
We have to take care of those rock stars in our life that take care of us. They deserve UNDIVIDED attention.
By stopping, looking up, and listening…..you can treat your stars like stars..
